Choosing The Right Destination Wedding Photographer

Your wedding day is quickly approaching, and all of the details are starting to fall into place. You might be feeling overwhelmed, but I am here to help!

As a professional destination wedding photographer, I've spent years finding the best options for posing and lighting techniques that show off our clients naturally and beautifully.

Snapping a photo is easy, but directing a client and leading them confidently through their shoot is something entirely different. This something I not only strive to do- I guarantee it with each and every client who graces the front of our cameras.

"When searching for a photographer that would be spending a week with our family and closest friends, personality was a big selling point for us- Megan easily made friends with all of us and we loved your company during our destination wedding."

-Bridget Bowman

"Megan exceeded our expectations as our as our photographer while in Jamaica! She created images that we will cherish forever. We look back at our photos often and we know that we chose the right photographer."

Destination Wedding FAQ's

Q: What sets you apart from other photographers?

A: As a premium full-service studio you will get much more than a session, you'll receive an experience. You won't have to worry about details like colour correcting or printing, we've got you covered from beginning to end.

Q: How many photographers will be there at our wedding?

A: All of our destination wedding collections come with one photographer, although you can always add on a second photographer for the additional cost of the second photographer's travel and accommodations.

Q: Should we just use the resort photographer?

A: Choosing a resort photographer is a gamble. Some are skilled photographers with the state of the art equipment with others are the photographer for the day using entry level equipment. If something goes wrong with wedding photos, it's important to have someone accountable with your interests in mind.

Q: Do we pay for your travel?

A: Our destination packages have been modified from our traditional packages to take into the added expenses of the photographers' travel and stay. Other expenses may be included so it's important to discuss, in detail, during our consultation.

Q: Does Megan stay for the entire week?

A: Generally, yes. The two main reasons are because it's generally less expensive for her to travel with the group. As well, some clients choose to segment part of their wedding day or complete their bridal session at a scenic area after their wedding while still in the area.

Q: How do we reserve our wedding date?

A: A $700 deposit and signed contract is required in order to get your wedding date on the calendar. Four weeks prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due.
