Every day, we all want a professional in our life that delivers more than we expected including artists like professional photographers. This year, my studio is celebrating 10 years in business, 10 years of capturing lives, 10 years of sharing moments, 10 years of finding ways to be more than my clients expect and more than they deserve. Since I made the decision that my clients deserved more, decisions became easier and focusing my efforts on beating the competition became clearer. With a dedicated focus on over-delivering and wowing my clients, I’ve made some decisions that helped separate me from other, so-called, professional photographers in Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph. Unfortunately, there are too many who think this is an easy leap to take your hobby into a fulltime business and make decisions based on dollars before all else.
My clients deserve amazing images captured with the best equipment. When Canon launched the newest top of the line 1DX Mark II camera, I knew my clients deserved it and I was lucky enough to be one of the first Canadian Photographers to own it. Lighting is important too, so I went to ProFoto and now use some of the best lightings in the business to make sure my clients always look great.
My clients deserve a great space to appreciate their images. This meant renting a studio in one of the greatest areas in the area. My photography studio is located in beautiful Downtown Guelph at 23 Macdonell Street. Here I get to sit with my clients as they see their wedding images or family portraits for the first time on a large screen 4K tv, not on some iPhone with a spotty internet connection.
My clients deserve to feel at home at the studio. Clients viewing their images for the first time are treated to snacks and drinks so they can relax on focus on the moment in time, captured for a lifetime.
My clients deserve artwork more than ones and zeros. I actually feel bad for some clients who, after investing in a professional to capture their engagement have a USB drive dropped off. To be forced to figure out color balances and dealing with distracting images isn’t what engaged couples deserve. My clients deserve artwork to be delivered and it’s likely one of my favorite parts of the entire process. You might have seen me sharing this part on Instagram.
I feel so honored every day to call my self a professional, to walk into my studio, and to be considered one of the best professional photographers in Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph. When experiences matters, choose a professional. Whether it’s allowing my photography studio to capture your important event or any other professional service. When you hire someone who is truly vested in making something amazing versus making an easy dollar the biggest difference is the experience, and it’s worth the investment.
