Sarah and Zhoup’s elegant same day edits from their Toronto wedding at the Burroughes Building!
This past weekend I was the Toronto Wedding Photographer for the nuptials of Sarah and Zhoup, an amazing couple from the provincial capital. After meeting these two shortly after their engagement at my photography studio in Guelph (at 23 Macdonnell Street, Guelph, Ontario N1H 2Z4) I knew their wedding in Toronto would be amazing. Not only did their engagement photography in Toronto lead to some amazing images but as the photographer, I got a deeper glimpse of how deep in love these two were. The bridal photography started at Six50 on Bathurst Street in Downtown Toronto and this condo became a beautiful backdrop as Sarah got prepared for her big day. Zhoup, the groom, got prepared on Widmer Street and was the perfect groom model. As the day went on the couple said their I Do’s in front of the camera on the rooftop of the The Burroughs on Queen Street West. Just a few hours later this couple celebrated with their closest friends and family into the night. I am so grateful to have been able to photograph such an important day for these two and am excited to see their family story develop and grow.
We met one time in 2005 through friends just a casual night out around Toronto. Then the next time we saw each other was a couple weeks later at a massive 200 person party. The person I (Sarah) knew at the party was passed out already and in bed. So Zhoupin was the only other person I knew. When I saw him on the way in to the party, I remembered him from our previous encounter. I ran right up to him and clung to him from that moment on, he was the only person I knew so I wasn’t letting him out of my sight lol. – Sarah
We talked all night and had a great time with each other. At the end of the night I asked her for her msn messenger name, so I could add her later on and we could continue talking. – Zhoup
When I realized she was really great with kids early on in her teaching days. It made me realize that she would make a great mother. -Zhoup
When we would come back to the house with groceries or go away on holidays/weekend trips, he always carried all my stuff for me. He would have 10 bags, 5 in each hand and I’d be walking around with just my purse. He always insisted, even when I would say no I can carry it, I want the workout. -Sarah
I knew she was going to see it coming so I had a false flag event where I was certain she would think would be the actual proposal. Little did she know when the hammer was actually gonna drop. -Zhoup
I did know it was coming, because it was the holiday season and it felt like he was acting a little weird. I remember the night he tried to fake me out, and when he didn’t do it I was so annoyed the rest of the night. Then again, I thought it was gonna be on christmas day and it wasn’t…I was pissed again. I was thinking “what is this guy waiting for??” lol – Sarah
Well that’s changed over time, but right now it’s when I see him with Haiden, he is such a great uncle, and it makes me excited for our own babies. -Sarah
I love her sense of humour. ie: when she makes me laugh at one of my uniquely “me” tendencies. -Zhoup
When we’re at the gym, he comes over to where I’m working out and pretends not to know me and does extravagant and awkward exercises right in front of me, like right in my personal space. It’s so loud and uncomfortable that other people start looking over and you can see them questioning, “does he even know her?”-Sarah
I like when she randomly dances in public, like in the middle of Popeyes one time when we were waiting for our Chicken strips. – Zhoup
That it’s two days before our Honeymoon 🙂 – Sarah and Zhoup
Succulents and Rose Gold everything!
My love for the colour rose gold right now, and pinterest helped with inspiration! – Sarah The theme of a “No rules Cocktail party wedding” was inspired by both our laid back and non traditional attitudes about weddings. – Zhoup
As soon as you say it’s for your wedding, expect a bigger bill!
