Paula and Mike had an absolutely gorgeous April’s day for their engagement photography session in Kitchener, Ontario. We started the shoot at Victoria Park and because of the fantastic weather, the park was buzzing with people. This didn’t stop us from having a blast and getting some great shots. The swans and ducks of the park definitely added a romantic element to their engagement session. Even though of the swan’s mistook Paula’s ankle for food at one point, we got some amazing images of wildlife of the park. It was also a humorous, memorable moment of the engagement session!
Paula and Mike are HUGE Philadelphia Eagles fans so it was essential that they wear their jerseys to rep their favourite football team and throw the ball around. This gave them an opportunity to show off a personal component and get some sentimental photos. It was extra awesome for Paula and Mike to be getting married in the same year that their team won the Super Bowl. Now, they have engagement photos of them wearing the jerseys to always look back on!
Paula and Mike chose Kitchener, Ontario for their engagement shoot because they love the scenery there. It also allowed them to discover a new area that they hadn’t been to before. With an evening shoot, the setting sun made for some gorgeous images particularly at the second location, Huron Natural Area. We definitely lucked in with a beautiful day.
Paula and Mike’s wedding will take place this August of this year and that month is important to the couple. Paula’s Mom has passed on and her birthday is August 8th so they wanted to keep it close to that date and in the theme of the 8’s.
Mike and Paula were such a pleasure to photograph and I wish them all the best!!
