Mike & Marissa’s Winter Engagement Shoot | Guelph, Ontario
Mike and Marissa’s winter engagement shoot at iconic landmarks in Guelph, Ontario.
As a Guelph Engagement Photographer, it is one of my biggest pleasures to photograph newly engaged couples at iconic locations throughout the Royal City such as the Guelph Arboretum and the University of Guelph.
Regardless of the season, these “Guelph-centric” locations offer such diversity and character that bring forth truly unique images for couple’s engagement shoots. They also offer a great mix of stunning nature at the Guelph Arboretum and the dynamic architecture of the Johnston Green Tower at the University of Guelph.
When I first with Mike and Marissa at my studio in downtown Guelph, I knew we would be the right fit for each other and produce so incredible images since we hit it off so well. It is so important to have a good connection with your wedding photographer as the photos ooze a natural and genuine feel when there’s a comfort level between the photographer and clients.
Mike and Marissa’s Mother worked together and that’s how they ultimately met. They hit it off right away and you can see instantly how perfect they are for each other. Mike proposed on December 21st, 2016 by attaching the ring to their cat, Jasper’s collar and had Marissa’s favourite foods set aside for dinner.
They choose the fall for their wedding as they love the colours the season has to offer so to give themselves diversity in the artwork for their home, they opted to do a winter engagement session. Mike had Marissa and myself laughing up a storm during the shoot and it made for very genuine photos. Despite the cold, crisp air, Mike and Marissa were all smiles and troopers with the winter’s weather.
I am so excited that they now have large prints from their engagement session to hang in their house and I can’t wait to see what their wedding this fall brings!
