Kelly & Michael had their engagement shoot on May 5th, 2019 in Hamilton, ON.
Kelly and Michael wanted somewhere unique, romantic, and epic for their engagement shoot so Albion Falls was the perfect spot. With the late afternoon sun glistening off the falls and the spring colours coming through, this location was picture perfect! Kelly and Michael were troopers trekking down the steeps hills to get to the bottom of the falls. We were all skipping across the uneven rocks to get in the right position for the “money shot” and we sure did nail it! I politely asked 20 plus people to move from the rocks briefly so we could get that shot and now the couple has it in a large metal print that they can hang in the room. You can see this shot on McCormick Photography’s Instagram page.
We went to Sam Lawrence Park for the second portion of the shoot. This location is one of my personal favourite spots in Hamilton. It’s high on the mountain so it has a great sky view of the city and a large park with gorgeous gardens and rock structures. Not only does it have great diversity all in the one location but when we balance it with a completely separate location, it gives the overall shoots a great collection of images to work with and a massive amount of diversity.
Kelly and Michael met when they were young kids and they became high school sweethearts. They started dating May 5th, 2010 and had their engagement shoot on May 5th of this year! They are having a destination wedding later this year in November in Costa Rica. The resort is called Rio Guana Caste. They wanted to keep their wedding planning to a minimum and having a destination wedding has helped immensely with this.
Kelly and Michael are such a sweet couple and I wish them all the best!
