Katie and Matt’s engagement photo shoot in Guelph, Ontario.
Picture perfect winter engagement photography was exactly what Katie and Matt had in mind when they booked their photo shoot for January. We had a bright, sunny day with a gorgeous amount of fluffy snow that made a winter wonderland of beautiful images for the amazing couple.
Guelph Arboretum the first location spot for the engagement session. Due to the cold weather, no one else was in the entire park which benefited us since we had free range of all the diverse areas the park has to offer. We got some adorable candid shots of Katie and Matt in their Buffalo Bills fanwear. These were some of my favourite images as the couple just gleamed with happiness that their favourite team made it to the playoffs.
We then went to the Riverrun Center in downtown Guelph for the second portion of the photoshoot. The brisk winter’s wind definitely picked up as we got closer to the water but Katie and Matt were still full of smiles and kisses for each other. The beautiful afternoon sunlight hit the frozen river running through the downtown core perfectly. I still can’t get over how much of troopers Kate and Matt were during the freezing photoshoot.
I knew the moment Katie and Matt came to my studio in downtown Guelph for their wedding consultation, that we would be a great match for each other and produce wicked images. After seeing their reaction to seeing their engagement photos for the first time, I was filled with extreme excitement for what we would capture on the wedding day.
Katie and Matt are such genuine and sweet couple that I couldn’t be more to excited to photograph their wedding this year in July. Their winter engagement photography was the perfect idea to provide great diversity in the images they will hang in their house next to their summer wedding photos.
