Amazing engagement photography of Christine & Matt in Guelph!
Engagement photography contest winners, Christine & Matt, chose the Guelph Arboretum and the River Run Centre in downtown Guelph as the backdrop for their engagement shoot. Since the photo shoot was on a morning of the work week, we had the Guelph Arboretum all to ourselves and this allowed Christine and Matt to fully embrace their playful side for the photos! As I often caught them in the middle of inside jokes as they so naturally giggled with each other, we captured a lot of genuine and candid moments for the couple to look back at for years to come.
The Guelph Arboretum is one of the nicest locations to photograph engagement shoots at since there is such a diverse selection of different gardens and beautiful nature settings to chose from. Christine and Matt particularly liked the Zen Garden as you will see in from one of the photos from the gallery where Matt is holding Christine up.
The other location the gorgeous couple decided on was the River Run Centre in the heart of downtown Guelph. This location provided diversity to their engagement shoot with an urban feel while depicting a stunning area of Guelph. We lucked in with an overcast sky as the clouds really added a cool dynamic to the images on the bridge of the River Run Centre. By this point of the photo shoot, Christine and Matt are fully relaxed and just enjoying each other. As we walked down the train tracks, we came across some really neat graffiti and it was only fitting that we capture some photos there as the graffiti said “Lovesick” is really cheerful colours. It made for some really awesome urban shots!
I had the utmost fun photographing this wicked couple and I am happy to say the feeling is mutual as they have decided to book with McCormick Photography for their summer wedding next June!
