Carlie and Will’s winter wonderland engagement photo shoot at the Rockwood Conservation Area.
Rockwood Conservation Area is absolutely gorgeous every season of the year but when there is a fresh snowfall with a little sprinkle of snow coming down, it calls for a winter engagement shoot! We definitely lucked in a perfect winter’s day. Carlie and Will were lucky winners of an engagement photography contest that McCormick Photography ran online. Carlie and Will knew right away that was the best place for their engagement shoot as they frequent the park often and take hikes there together. They were troopers through the bitter wind chill but the positive side is that we had the park to ourselves and we were able to play around to capture some truly beautiful photos!
The great thing about Rockwood Conservation area for engagement photography is that it has such diversity all in one location between the lake, trails, bridges, and the ruins and there are endless photo opportunities. Despite the very icy conditions, Carlie and Will were enthusiastic about trekking up hills for that perfect shot. I guess it’s their adventurous nature in them.
Carlie and Will met in 2011 through friends and they will be saying their “I do’s” later this year in a small, intimate wedding. They are a very laid back, sweet and genuine couple. I had such an amazing time photographing this amazing couple and getting to them better. Their genuine love for each other truly shines through in the photos and I am thrilled with how the images turned out. Carlie and Will are beautiful on the side and out and I was honoured to have photographed their engagement shoot!
I am so excited that Carlie and Will will have enlargements of their engagement photo shoot to proudly hang on their wall and gift-sized prints to share with their family and friends. I wish them all the happiness in the world!
